Known for its walking trail throughout the year.

Location of the film "The River of no return" in 1960's.

  4. Surprise Corner

    15 min

Good view for the Castle in the Rockies.

  5. 15 min

Hoodoos are composed sedimentary rock covered by harder rock that is harder to erode. Once softer sediment erodes rock needle, only tower like natural obstacles are left.

  6. Town of Banff

The biggest town of National towns, many shops and restaurants waiting for your discovery.

Day 2 Bow Lake — Columbia Icefield / Ice Explorer (*fall Season Will be Replaced) — Peyto Lake — Crowfoot Glacier

  1. Bow Lake

    20 min

The most visited lake on the Icefield Parkway, Bow Lake offers a serene atmosphere with reflections of the Crowfoot Mountain Range on its mirror-like surface.

  2. Columbia Icefield Discovery Centre

3 hours Admission ticket not included

(Optional) Explore the ice with the Glacier Adventure ICE Explorer - Snocoach for about 2.5 hours. *Closed before the 1st Saturday of May and after the 2nd Saturday of October, will be replaced by Minnewanka Lake (20 minutes) & Banff Upper Hot Springs (Optional - Pay onsite / 60 minutes) *Will be replaced by Cave & Basin if Banff hot spring not available. Please bring the bathing suite for Banff Upper Springs if you plan to participate.

  3. Peyto Lake

    20 min

The ever-changing colors are the most famous scenery of Peyto Lake. The high-density glacial minerals in the water make the lake appear as if the waves are frozen at the edge, often leaving visitors questioning the reality of the water. The lake's colors can change with the seasons or weather, earning it the reputation as one of the representative lakes of the Rocky Mountains. *If not accessible, it will be replaced with Waterfowl Lake

  4. Crowfoot Glacier

    15 min

Because, when initially discovered, the glacier had three ice masses resembling the claws of a crow, it was named accordingly. Unfortunately, due to climate change, one of the claws melted and collapsed in the early 20th century. Currently, only the remaining two claws are visible, serving as a compelling testament to the impact of the Earth's greenhouse effect.

  1. Lower Spiral Tunnels Viewpoint

    6 hours

It is one of the most bizarre feats of engineering to get the grade of a train line to be at or below 2.2%. The current two spiral tunnels where the railroad forms two spirals, crossing beneath itself twice, almost forming a figure eight, before continuing in the proper direction down the mountain were completed in 1909.

  2. 20 min

Towering peaks of Continental Divide in Yoho National Park. Emerald Lake is the largest lake in Yoho National Park, snap photos of its turquoise water.

  3. Natural Bridge

    15 min

Sculpted by the erosive forces of rushing water over what had once been a waterfall, the Natural Bridge is a powerful reminder of how much influence water has in shaping the landscape.

  4. Lake Louise

This beautiful lake is named after Princess Louise Caroline Alberta. Famous photo-taking location, snap lots of beautiful photos as much as you want and also can enjoy to hiking the trail around the lake.

  5. Moraine Lake

    1 hour

Its waters are the most amazing color, a vivid shade of turquoise that changes in intensity through the summer as the glacier melt. Set in the rugged Valley of the Ten Peaks, Moraine Lake is surrounded by mountains, waterfalls, and rock piles, creating a scene so stunning it almost seems unreal.
*Moraine Lake open from early June to early Oct. If closed, it will be replaced by the Vermillion Lake.
